Who We Are
Welcome to Growing Rural Opportunities For Wellness (GROW). We are dedicated to promoting a healthier future for the community. Our program is committed to addressing the unique challenges and needs of rural populations in their journey towards tobacco-free lives.
GROW is a program of the California Health Collaborative (CHC). CHC is a non-profit organization dedicated to addressing the health needs of Californians with a special emphasis on underserved communities with limited access to resources or who face barriers related to culture, language, income, education, gender, geography or immigration status. CHC has many different programs in areas of mental health, health services, youth development, tobacco prevention, and more. Empowering the Sutter Community

We aim to establish collaborations within the community. These collaborators will be provided with training and resources to better serve the community and proactively prevent damage that tobacco causes by targeting rural communities.

In the hopes of preventing new lifelong users, we hope to have Sutter County adopt stronger policies concerning tobacco. Our goal is to prevent minors from having easy access to tobacco products that are marketed toward a younger population.
